“As the Chief Executive Officer of Metronet (UK), I’m determined to ensure that we always put our customers and partners at the centre of everything we do. That’s why Metronet (UK) offers a truly unique service proposition that combines unbeatable install times and performance with unmatchable SLAs and genuine value-for-money.

Because of this, we have become a valued strategic partner for some of the UK’s fastest growing businesses. Metronet (UK)’s own growth – more than 30% per year – is down to our intelligent combination of radio wireless, conventional fibre and Ethernet. This allows us to deliver faster and more flexible connectivity solutions than the traditional network operators.

By utilising our fully owned ‘last mile’ network, we control the cost and quality of the service that we deliver to provide a truly different experience. It’s this uniqueness that underpins our growth today – but we want to play a more meaningful part in the lives of our customers and support the journey to the Cloud. And our recent £47.5m acquisition of M247 makes us a true ‘Connectivity & Content’ provider, able to combine rapid delivery of resilient network connectivity with the ability to provide best-in-class server and application hosting.”

Lee has extensive experience within the IT industry and for nearly 20 years has worked in senior commercial roles including at Tech Data UK, Computacenter and IQ-Sys and before joining Metronet (UK) in 2016 was EVP and Managing Director of Sage UK & Ireland.

By joining Metronet (UK), Lee brings vast knowledge and experience leading businesses within the IT industry. He is actively involved with topics surrounding the Northern Powerhouse and Digital Skills of the North and is a frequently noted commentator. In addition, Lee is a member of the Tech North Advisory Board and a leadership committee member for the Prince’s Trust.
