Support Engineer

Metronet are a Manchester based Internet Service Provider, delivering mission critical solutions to many of the North West's businesses. Metronet are an ISP with a difference. Our services are not dependent on any 3rd party to deliver. We use wireless technology to bypass the costs, difficulty and time-scales associated with more traditional services. Our customer support sets us apart from all our competitors. Our customers want for nothing and as a result we never loose a customer as a result of poor service because we look after them properly.

We looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our support team experience is important, but not as important as the right attitude.

You need to - 

  •  Be quick and keen to learn with a positive attitude and willingness to help
  •  Be able to apply initiative to resolve a problem
  •  Be able to work as part of a team
  •  Have good attention to detail
  •  Possess at least one of the skills below

Ethernet Networks, ISP services, Firewall administration,  Cisco routing, hosting hardware and software

You should have at least one of these. The more the better, but the rest, you can learn.

Telesales Executive

Metronet, based in the Greenheys Data Centre is a rapidly growing provider of Telecoms and IT services. 

We supply leased lines and WAN networking solutions to companies throughout Manchester, Liverpool, Bolton, Leeds and soon into Birmingham.  We are unique in the market as being the only profitable operator using wireless and microwave to provide last-mile connectivity to customers. 

We are growing at 50% per year and have been profitable for the past 3 years.  Our success has been due to our ability to deliver services much faster than larger established suppliers and with a very high level of customer service into a market notorious for poor service.

We are looking for a telesales executive to identify and make appointments with potential customers in our coverage areas.  We are looking for individuals who have intellectual ability and attitude (persistence) to consistently uncover opportunities for Metronet.

Previous telesales or sales experience is not a pre-requisite for this position. Compensation is generous but heavily weighted to commission based on revenue.

This is a great role for someone looking to start or develop their career in IT sales as it involves not just cold calling, but also solution selling and develops overall market awareness.
